PANJIM: Damodar High School, Loliem will clash with Shradhanand High School, Paingin in the VII Shubham Naik inter-school cricket tournament organised by Canacona Sports Academy in association with Mandovi Parivar, at Nirakar Sports Complex, Mashem.
In the second semi final Shradhanand High school defeated Tudal High School, Gaodongri by 30 runs.
After winning the toss Shradhanand HS elected to bat first. The half century by Shaunak Painginkar (62) helped the team score 126 runs with a loss of 8 wickets while Nehal Chari scored 23 runs.
For Tudal High School Prathamesh Chari picked 4 wickets while Rohit Gaonkar took 3 wickets.
In reply, Tudal HS managed to score 95 runs in 20 overs with a loss of 9 wickets. Kaushik Chari scored 14 runs while Sanjeet Velip scored 22 runs in an attempt to reach the target.
For Sharadhanand, Akshay Namshikar took three wickets while Pranay Sudhir and Rahul Yadav took 2 wickets each. Pranav Prabhu and Nehal Chari took a single wicket.
Shaunak Painginkar of Shradhanand High school was adjudged as man-of-the-match.
