GUIRIM: Dempo SC and Sesa Football Academy will face off in the Goa regional final of the Dream Sports Championship after securing crucial wins on the final day on Wednesday.
While Dempo beat Belgaum United Football Academy, 1-0, Sesa Football Academy secured a similar, 1-0 win over FC Goa in the U-17 Football competition.
In the first game of the day, Dempo’s Jonathan Silva scored the winning goal in the 76th minute, ensuring that his team secured the three points. The second match was equally tense, but Chris Vedo broke the deadlock in the 48th minute to take Sesa Football Academy to the final, to be played on February 14, at the Fields of Dream, Guirim at 9 am.
