Francis fires Don Bosco Oratory into final

Andrade’s 56th minute goal helps the winners defeat Navelim Sporting; St Anthony SC oust Cuncolim Union

RAIA: Francis Andrade’s solitary goal helped Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda defeat Navelim Sporting Club, to move into the final of All Goa Rachol Overseas Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Raitura Sports Club, at Panchayat ground, Raia, on Sunday. 
There was no score at half-time. 
The match winning goal came in the 56th minute through Francis Andrade, of Don Bosco Oratory. 
Earlier, St Anthony SC, Colva defeated Cuncolim Union 5-3 via the tie-breaker.
Cuncolim Union started the match on an attacking note and soon had a chance at the goal through Sampana Robolo whose goal bound shot should have found the net but Sampana’s shot was easily saved by Jolmiro Fernandes goalkeeper of Colva in the 3rd minute.
Cuncolim Union soon took control of the ball through Joel Rodrigues who ran down the flank and passed the ball to Joaston Pereira who made an attempt at the goal however his shot got the deflection of Edney Fernandes, defender of Cuncolim and went out of play in the 5th minute.
St Anthony SC Colva attacked yet again with Snedden passing the ball to Joel Rodrigues who chipped the ball in to open the account for his team in the 6th minute. 
Sampana squandered another goal scoring opportunity in the 23rd minute as he shot into the safe hands of St Anthony SC goalkeeper.
Cuncolim soon found the equaliser through Valiston D’Souza in the 46th minute.
In the resultant tie-breaker St Anthony SC, Colva netted through Joseph Pereira, Maxon Fernandes, Nelson Gomes and Baptista Fernandes while Krishna Shirodkar and Jerico Dias scored for Cuncolim Union.
