Goa defeated Uttarkhand 5-4 vie the tie-breaker to march into the semi-finals of 56th National School Games under-19 football championship at Jammu on Thursday.
In the penalty shoot out, Agnelo Fernandes, Newton D’Souza, Marshal Fernandes, Mohammed Ali and Rakesh Kumar converted for Goa while Pankaj, Mahesh, Virendra and Sajana scored for Uttarkhand.
Sources informed that the organisers informed Goa about their match at last minute. The coach woke up the players and marched to the ground.
