MARGAO: The Kings School downed Infant Jesus HS, Colva 5-3 on day 2 of the 3rd Chowgule Sports Centre U-10 Futsal League organised by YFA and co powered by Capitao Security Services and The Kings School, at Chowgule Sports Centre, Margao, on Saturday.
Aloysius Fernandes gave Kings School the lead in the last minute of the first half after a goalkeeping error from the Infant Jesus custodian. Shenoy Fernandes equalised at the start of the second half for Infant Jesus. Shaurya Verekar restored Kings school’s lead two minutes later. Mark D’Costa scored a brace and Jaisman Gomes added another to make it 5-1 to Kings. Rahul Sherpali and Rishikesh Madiwal scored two late consolations goals resulting in a 5-3 final score-line in favor of The Kings School. Jerrel Godinho of The Kings School was adjudged the man-of-the- match for his spectacular performance in goal.
Perpetual Succour Convent HS Navelim powered past Child Care School Margao 7-1. Man-of-the-match Velencio Carvalho and Emmanuel Gama bagged a hat-trick each and Musab Shaikh scored the other goal for the winners. Hari Krishna scored the lone goal for Child Care.
Riding on a splendid hat-trick by Man of the Match Irwin Faleiro and a brace by Reuben Barbosa, Loyola HS, Margao blanked Posh EHS Navelim 5-0.
Hosts Futebol Club YFA scored a thumping 9-0 win against Bloomz International School. Zane Reveredo, Soham Mane and Aaryav Da Costa scored a brace each while Aran Kushwah, Reuel Barreto and Milin Kushwah scored a goal each. Skipper Milin was adjudged the man-of-the-match for his splendid defensive display.
Captain Milwerd D’Costa scored four goals as he helped St Jude’s Betalbatim beat Regina Martyrum, Assolna 7-2. Fredrickson Fernandes scored a hat-trick for the winners. Neil Fernandes and Vollan Coutinho scored for Regina.
Manovikas EMS found the going tough against Rosary HS, Navelim till man-of-the-match Earl Gonsalves opened the scoring with a splendid free-kick at the end of the first half.
Once the flood gates opened there was no stopping Manovikas as Earl completed his brace, Yohann Sousa and Dhruv Pai bagged a brace each for themselves and Kirsten Pinheiro scored one for the winners.
Celi scored a consolation for Rosary HS late in the game to take the final score to 7-1 in favour of Manovikas.
