PANJIM: Penha de Franca thrashed Sangolda Lightning Club 3-0 in a GFA Second Division football league match at Sangolda ground, Monday. There was no score at half time.
After a barren first half, Penha de Franca broke the deadlock through Shibham. Thereafter, Vardhan doubled their lead and Francisco made it 3-0 in the dying minutes.
Penha de Franca have collected seven points from six matches while Sangolda are on nine points after playing six matches.
Meanwhile, in a U-14 match at Assolna ground, Ave Maria beat Sirlim SC 2-1.
