Suryakumar Yadav’s T20 World Cup-Winning Team to Be Felicitated by BCCI

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will felicitate the Indian cricket teams that recently won major ICC titles during its annual Naman Awards 2026 ceremony in Mumbai on Sunday. The highlight of the event will be the recognition of five Indian teams that captured international trophies in recent years, marking a historic first for Indian cricket.

The men’s team, led by Suryakumar Yadav and coached by Gautam Gambhir, will be honoured for winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. India defeated New Zealand national cricket team by 96 runs in the final held in Ahmedabad on March 8. With that victory, India became the first team to win the tournament three times, the first to defend the title successfully, and the first to achieve the feat on home soil.
