MARGAO: YFA Warriors registered another victory against Infant Jesus HS, Colva 7-0 in the 2nd Chowgule Sports Centre U-10 Futsal league organised by Youth Futsal Academy, at Chowgule Sports Centre, Margao, on Friday
A splendid hat-trick by Man-of-the-Match Warren Rodrigues and goals from Lochlan Sousa, Daniel Rebello, Ethan Borges and Axel Demello for the hosts who are yet to be beaten in the in the league.
Regina Marytrum, Assolna eased past Child Care School Margao 9-0. Man-of-the-Match Brac Fernandes scored seven times while Ashier Fernandes scored a brace for the winners.
In a lopsided affair, Rosary HS, Navelim beat The Kings School 12-0. Sam Pereira was awarded the Man-of-the-Match for scoring eight goals. Manthan Sanzuke scored four for the winners.
Manovikas EMS scored a convincing 6-0 victory over St Jude’s Betalbatim. Guido Gomes and Keyaan Kuknoor scored a brace while goalkeeper Evan Sousa got his name on the score sheet with a long range strike and Man-of-the-Match Ethan Mascarenhas scored a goal and had two assists to his name.
Down by two goals, Perpetual Succour Convent HS Navelim came from behind to beat Marina English HS, Verna 4-3 in a pulsating match. Marina took an early lead through Trance Fernandes but a brace by Man-of-the-Match Emmanuel Gama restored parity between the sides. Taufique Gundar put Perpetual into the lead again just before the break.
Loyola HS Margao were made to sweat it out before registering a comfortable 3-0 victory over Bloomz International School.
Fancied to win easily, Loyola HS struggled to find a break through. After many failed attempts at goal, Kiandra Pinto finally scored midway through the second half and from there on it was comfortable for the winners with Caiden Rodrigues and Lester Oliveira adding their names to the scorer’s list.
