PORVORIM: The four accused Umesh Gopal Reddy, Geeta Umesh Reddy, Santosh Bhasker Reddy and Sunder Pradeep Reddy, who were arrested by Porvorim police on December 28 in connection with the theft at the residence of one Manohar Korgaonker from Porvorim, have admitted to another theft at Socorro.
Socorro resident Gurish Pednekar had registered a complaint with Porvorim Police on December 25 that burglars had decamped with gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 42,000 from his house.
Since the accused confessed to another theft, a fresh offence under Sections 454 and 457 of IPC were registered against them. PSI Dinesh Gadekar is investigating the case.
