MARGAO: The workforce at the South Goa District Hospital (SGHD), Margao, will soon be bolstered by 89 more staff members.
This will fill a gap in the functioning of the hospital that has been facing a staff crunch. Sixty-three staff nurses, five laboratory technicians, four pharmacists, two physiotherapists and one post each of senior surgeon; junior surgeon; sr pathologist; jr pathologist; sr respiratory chest physician; jr dermatologist; jr gynaecologist; accounts officer; public health dentist; bio-medical engineer; counselor, blood bank technician and social worker have been sanctioned by the government.
