PANJIM: Acharya Prashant, a best-selling author and Vedanta exegete, was invited to speak at the School of Sanskrit, Philosophy, and Indic Studies at Goa University on Tuesday.
Acharya, who is also a climate action advocate, an alumnus of both IIT and IIM, and an ex-civil servant, interacted with students to discuss everyday life questions. It was organised as a Samvaad for the students and faculty to understand everyday life through the perspective of Vedanta. Acharya’s responses got to the root of the issue, leaving the students with greater clarity and wisdom.
Speaking about the event, Dr Anupam Chaterjee, a member of the organising committee said, “It was a pleasure to be invited to Goa University. Acharya Prashant answered lots of questions from students about their daily lives to help them.”
Dr Koshy Tharakan, Professor and Dean of the School of Sanskrit Philosophy and Indic Studies was present to welcome and felicitate the speaker.
Dr Anjali Rao, Associate Professor, Department of Philosophy thanked Acharya for talking with the students.
Acharya Prashant is a regular speaker at various universities including IITs, IIMs, and AIIMS campuses. Students asked many questions about careers and relationships. There were also questions about the meaning and purpose of life and the secrets of a joyful and peaceful life stated a press release.
