GUIRIM: In an action-packed day of Dream Sports Championship U-17 football, Dempo Sports Club delivered a commanding performance with a 12-0 victory over Sporting Clube de Goa at the Field of Dreams, Guirim, on Monday.
Faris led the scoring with a hat-trick and earned player-of-the-Match honours. Vishal, Yug Ramdas and Jodrick each contributed braces, while Jonathan and Vivan added one goal each.
The playmaking duo of Tanuj and Shreyash controlled the game with three assists each.
In the second match, FC Goa secured a solid 3-0 win against Guardian Angel SC. Josley opened the scoring with an assist from Sangam, followed by goals from Meldon and Asher, the latter assisted by Leonard. Joy was named player-of-the-match.
On Tuesday, Belgaum United FA will face Sporting Clube de Goa at 9 am, while Sesa FA will meet Guardian Angel SC, at 12 noon.
