MAPUSA: Police on Tuesday apprehended Karnataka and Hyderabad native for stealing mobile handset and cash from bike dickey in two separate incidents at the Calangute market.

A team of Calangute police comprising of police constables Shasank Sakhalkar, Dinesh Morajkar and Rupesh Salgaonkar apprehended one Santosh Kattimani (36) for stealing a mobile phone and cash of Rs 9,400 from dickey of two scooters parked at Calangute market area.
In another accident, one Mohamad Irfan (22) was arrested for stealing a mobile phone and cash worth Rs 12,000 at Calangute market.
Police informed that the Karnataka accused was previously involved in a theft case at Margao. Calangute police have registered two separate offences.
Further investigation is in progress.
