MARGAO: Orlim villagers have re-drafted and plotted five missing sluice gates in their Coastal Zone Management Plan (CZMP).
At a meeting, the villagers have decided to redraw/draft/plot the east side of Zuem Island bearing Survey No 103 shown as a part of Telaulim into Orlim borders.
After Carmona, Orlim has taken the decision to redraw/propose border realignment.
The locals also strongly objected to the legend with pink dots which is shown as Undeveloped Area CRZ-III (Rural) claiming that the word undeveloped can be misinterpreted, hence suggested that the area be used as NDZ CRZ -III (Rural). The villagers took help of locals as well as the students of Chowgule College.
Cavelossim and Mobor villagers held the third round of redrafting the CZMP maps along with Cavelossim Citizens Committee members and Chowgule College students.
Fishermen’s houses, small businesses structures found, but not shown in the maps were taken into consideration. Villagers have found out that they would need more time to complete the entire map as they claim to have come across several errors.
