CHINCHINIM: Chinchinim-Deussua sarpanch Inacina Rebello recently gifted the Chinchinim Electricity a mobile phone (9527239934) with a prepaid connection for their official use as there were constant complaints of the non-functioning of the landline in the sub-office, from the villager.

Deputy sarpanch Valentino Barreto said, “Due to the constant complaints by the villagers of the telephone lines of the Chinchinim Electricity the sarpanch handed over the mobile phone with a prepaid connection to the Chinchinim Electricity department sub-office Junior Engineer (JE) Shailesh Naik as the existing landline is always out of order.” After much deliberation, the Assistant Engineer (AE) Jorge Fernandes accepted the phone that was handed over along with a covering letter and the panchayat resolution.”
