Yet another criminal complaint was filed with the Tilak Marg Police Station here Thursday evening by a Delhite to register an FIR (first information report) against Kashmir separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, writer Arundhati Roy, Prof S A R Gilani and others for “jeopardising public peace and security” by making provocative speeches at the controversial seminar on Kashmir “Azadi” here on October 21.
The complaint of Sushil Pandit circulated by the BJP Thursday night charges the speakers at the seminar of offence of sedition under Section 124A of IPC as well offence under Section 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
The complainant seems to have been prompted by the BJP as the 6-page complaint goes on to reproduce relevant portions of the Act.
