VASCO, FEB 2
A middle-aged man committed suicide while another person attempted to end his life in two separate incidents at Bogda-Vasco since Sunday.
In the first case, Ismail Adam Shaikh (65) committed suicide by hanging himself at the police quarters on Sunday.
In the second incident, Santosh Hoble (40) set himself ablaze and sustained around 90 per cent burn injuries. He was rushed to GMC hospital in a critical condition. His wife, Sanjana, told police that Santosh had been depressed due to unemployment and that, he was alone at the time of the incident. Vasco police is yet to record the statement of Santosh.
