The pathetic incompetence of Goa Police, in charge of this investigation is now gone beyond the limits of our typical ‘Goan’ tolerance and patience.
Goans all over the world have been observing with ever increasing disbelief, the high handed manner of dealing with this case. The shabbiness and lack of professionalism from all corners, especially by the Goa Police, purporting to investigate this case, that apparently shows clear signs of pre-meditated murder, is simply unacceptable.
Fr Bismarque Dias might indeed have eventually died from drowning. But what caused the drowning of a good swimmer in a calm river he knew well, or indeed who actually drowned Fr Bismarque, must be investigated.
The extreme negligence, incompetence and lack of professionalism by the police has been exposed almost every day since his death, as friends of Bismarque took it upon themselves to investigate, search the crime scene, and find crucial evidence and clues left behind, which in any other part of the world, would have been found, carefully recorded and immediately analyzed by any self-respecting police force.
Social media and newspapers have written extensively about findings of the inquest panchanama of Fr Bismarque, which apparently shows signs of foul play. There is a clear difference between damage in his body caused by river water creatures and that caused by “terrestrial humans” ….yet the results of two autopsies declared death as simply drowning. By the way, it is also unacceptable that Goa does not yet have the laboratories to do the relevant forensic chemical analyses locally, given that Goa is now a high crime state. It is ridiculous that in this day and age, Goans have to run to Hyderabad for these tests!
It is outrageous that all investigative agencies including politicians, the police to medical professionals have closed ranks to pass off this death as simply a drowning accident. As a result, no one in their right mind can ever trust the authorities involved in this case, who despite all the evidence, have been trying to lie to Goans as if we are all a bunch of ignorant fools. But nobody is being fooled Mr Parsekar. People can still see right through this dark web of crime and evil that is enveloping Goa.
As for the police , its incompetence is either due to lack of basic training and should be sent for intensive professional training or this police is not an independent force, as their attitude and actions seem of a force being manipulated and interfered with by, will soon find out whom…..
You are certainly not fooling any single independent thinking Goan in this case or any other case. So may I suggest you either immediately get your act together as a responsible Home Minister and a civil servant representing the interests of the Goan people and order immediately this case to be handed over to CBI professionals or you might soon regret the consequences of civil unrest as result of your negligence and shabby governance.
Meanwhile, if instead you hand over the case to local Crime Branch, I can assure you that people will be observing them like hawks …., as frankly, no one is sure if they are any different and trustworthy, and above all, whether they too will be interfered with and prevented from doing their job properly.
