The one thing I don’t understand is that why this particular newspaper is still so much hell-bent on convincing Goans and treating the untimely death of Fr Bismarque Dias as a simple case of drowning. Or has this newspaper been paid hard cash by vested interest to continue publishing such back to back stupid fabricated stories/editorials to misguide Goans?
The so-called ‘report’ of the newspaper says that Fr Bismarque Dias after buying a beer (ml of the beer not mentioned) from a wine owner on that fateful day starts drinking from 1.30 p.m. till 4.30 p.m. in the same wine owner’s balcony. Now, which Goan would have sat with one single beer bottle and have gone drinking for 3 hours when we all know that all beers, once opened become flat or tasteless within a few minutes and cannot be consumed for such a long period?
Secondly, Shri Sudeep Dalvi, a close friend of the late activist has clearly admitted in a recent interview on HCN that Fr Bismarque Dias used to drink socially but had a capacity of drinking not more than 2 pints of beer. Whereas, the so-called “internal investigation report” of the said newspaper says that Fr Bismarque Dias drank around 6 beer bottles as per the version of the two boys who accompanied him and after which he went for a swim and later drowned. Now, who are we to believe, Sudeep Dalvi or the mysterious boys from the said report?
And why would Fr Bismarque Dias suddenly decide to go for a wild type of picnic with the two boys on that fateful day and that too late at night? Simply giving excuses to protect the real culprits by mentioning the two boys as minors won’t help because normally even school going kids would have immediately gone and informed the family members if their close friend had suddenly gone missing from their company. Now, why didn’t the two boys who sound to be grown-ups didn’t do the same and waited till the next day to inform the victim’s family members about this incident?
