4 held; cops on lookout for builder

ANJUNA: Her decision to reconsider the sale of her prime property may have cost Luiza Fernandes her life and Anjuna Police is now on the lookout of a builder who is believed to have engaged the services of four contract killers to get rid of the senior citizen.

Addressing media persons at the Anjuna police station, Anjuna PI Paresh Naik informed that Luiza Fernandes was murdered, while her sister-in-law, Tarsila Fernandes, was found in an unconscious state at the entrance of the house at Bamon Waddo, Anjuna, on July 30. 
“During the course of investigation, it was revealed that Luiza had properties worth crores of rupees in her name and had initially offered to sell it to a builder. However, Fernandes had a change of mind and did not sell the properties,” PI Naik said.
“Luiza had given her NOC to publish a notice in newspapers for the proposed sale, which did not materialize.”
“Angered with her decision, the builder engaged four contract killers to get rid of Luiza. They also attempted to strangulate Tarsila, but did not succeed.”
“The four made good their escape, but were nabbed outside the State, while the main accused is on the run. All the four are in police custody at Anjuna,” informed PI Naik.
