PONDA: The passengers travelling on Adpoi-Rassaim ferry towards Mormugao taluka from Adpoi in Ponda taluka and vice-versa have complained that they face hardship due to leaking roof of the ferryboat and also faced inconvenience due to lack of overall maintenance and repair works.
Passengers complain that there were no lights at Adpoi ferry ramp and it even becomes difficult for ferryboat operator to anchor which may put passengers at risk. Passengers complain that the ferry was serving on the route for several years and was without proper maintenance and have demanded that urgent repair work be carried out.
According to a passenger Roopam Talavlikar, vehicle drivers face difficulty while entering and exiting the ferry, as proper repairs are not conducted.
