MARGAO: The woes of Majorda Utorda Catala Sarpanch Georgina Mascarenhas don’t seem to end as she is faced with yet anther salvo after six panch members submitted a petition to move a no-confidence motion against her.
Six panchayat members led by Domingos Rodrigues were the signatories to the no confidence motion accepted by the Vasco Mamlatdar Laxmikant Dessai who is holding additional charge of the Mormugao Block Development office (BDO). While the panchayat has nine members, Rodrigues, Anthony Fernandes, Melissa D’Costa, Manuel Santan Cardozo, Domnic Carvalho and former sarpanch Moises Vaz moved the motion against Masarenchas.
claiming there had been no development in the village under her tenure.
