Residents across parts of South Goa will face restricted water supply on January 7 and 8 as the 160 MLD Water Treatment Plant and main pipeline at Xelpem, Sanguem, undergo scheduled maintenance and repair work.
The Public Works Department has announced that the shutdown will take place on January 7 from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, affecting water distribution in the talukas of Sanguem, Quepem, Salcete and Mormugao.
Authorities have appealed to residents and consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance and cooperate during the maintenance period. Normal water supply is expected to resume after the completion of repair works.
