Yuva Forward Goa State President Meshu D’Costa locked the Public Works Department (PWD) office in protest, alleging negligence by the department in addressing repeated public grievances.
D’Costa alleged that the PWD has failed to carry out even basic repair works despite several complaints from residents. He particularly highlighted the poor condition of the bridge at Nondulem in Sanguem, where large potholes have reportedly developed.

He claimed that a pregnant woman recently suffered a miscarriage after travelling through the affected stretch. D’Costa alleged that despite the incident and repeated complaints, the potholes have yet to be repaired.
D’Costa also raised concerns over the alleged absence of several PWD staff members from the office during working hours. He questioned how members of the public could register complaints and seek assistance if officials were not available.
Following the protest, D’Costa contacted PWD Minister Digambar Kamat and apprised him of the situation. According to D’Costa, the minister assured him that he would instruct the concerned officials to have the potholes filled.
