Despite the prolonged investigation, the agency was unable to establish the identity of the alleged offender or make an arrest in the case.

The Children’s Court has now permitted the closure of the investigation, bringing the long-pending probe to an end.

The case involved a serious allegation concerning a minor, and the acceptance of the closure report follows the investigating agency’s inability to make further progress in identifying the accused.
