Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said that the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) should be drafted by taking all sections of society into confidence and must not become a cause for division.
Bhagwat was speaking during an interaction held as part of an event marking the centenary celebrations of the RSS.

Commenting on the recent India–US trade pact, the RSS chief said that any agreement involves a process of give and take, but emphasised that such deals should be beneficial to both sides. “It should be win-win. We must ensure that we are not at a loss,” he said.
Responding to a question on the demand for conferring the Bharat Ratna on Hindutva ideologue Veer Savarkar, Bhagwat said that the prestige of the country’s highest civilian honour would increase if it were awarded to Savarkar.
He also remarked that the RSS is witnessing its “achche din” (good days) due to the sustained hard work of its volunteers and their commitment to the organisation’s ideological principles.
