PONDA: Three persons were injured in an accident reported at near Betal Temple at Dhon-Khamb, Kavlem.
According to information, Rudra Gokuldas Talavlikar (40), his wife Manasi (38) and son Chinnav (7) were injured when their scooter on which they were proceeding to their home at Talavlim was hit by an oncoming jeep.
The jeep driver, who was proceeding from Talavlim to Ponda, on reaching Dhon-Khamb, lost control and rammed into the scooter.
The impact was such that Rudra sustained leg fracture while Chinnav sustained injuries to his leg. Manasi who nearly got herself trapped under the jeep was rescued by locals and was immediately rushed to the Ponda Sub District Hospital and later to Goa Medical College and Hospital.
