MARGAO, MAY 17
Accused Dilip Mangaonkar, who was arrested in the Sancoale bomb case have moved the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Vasco for bail.
The bail application moved by the accused assumes significance as the remaining three accused had got bail from the Magistrate’s court in the Sancoale bomb base.
The NIA, which is investigating the Margao and Sancoale case, will its reply to the bail application in the Vasco JMFC court on Tuesday.
Special Public Prosecutor, S B Faria said the NIA would vehemently oppose the bail application filed by accused Dilip in the Vasco court.
The accused has contended that he is entitled for bail in the planting of bomb at Sancoale since the investigating agency has failed to file the charge sheet within the 180 period in custody.
Court sources, however, said that three of the accused have already got bail in the Sancoale case, but are in judicial custody in connection with the Margao bomb blast case.
