Admissions to 50% State quota PG degree, diploma seats at GMC

PANJIM: Goa Medical College has invited applications from eligible candidates who have obtained their Permanent Registration with Medical Council of India / State Medical Council and have appeared for NEET-PG 2020 for admissions to 50% State Quota Post Graduate Degree and Diploma seats of Goa University at Goa Medical College for the academic year 2020-21. 

Admissions will be on the basis of Rules and Regulations notified in the Government Gazette Series I No.51 dated March 21, 2005 along with Series I No.50 dated March 11, 2004, Series I No. 32 dated 10.11.2016 and Gazette of India No. 51 dated 5.2.2019 and Bond implementation will be as per Government Gazette Series I No.36 dated 8.12.2015 which is also likely to be revised.

Five per cent of PG Seats are allocated to persons with disability (PwD) candidates fulfilling the MCI criteria as per directives Gazette Notification No.  MCI -34(41)/2018-Med./170045 dated 5.2.2019.

Details of seats available and rules to be followed are displayed on notice board of Goa Medical College, Bambolim, the release states.

Following is the detailed schedule for admissions: 

Date of inviting applications – March 9;  last date of receipt of applications  – March 20 (5 pm); display of Provisional Merit list – March 26 (Medical College Notice Board);  display of Final Merit list – March 30 (Medical College Notice Board); first round of counselling-cum-admission  – April 1; last  date  for joining the allotted course after 1st round – April 12; second round of counselling-cum-admission – April 24, last date for joining the allotted course after 2nd round – May 3 , commencement of academic session/term – May 1, 2020, mop up round on May 8 and last date for joining the allotted course after Mop up Round  – May 12.

Venue & time of counselling-cum-Admission – conference hall, next to Office of Dean, GMC from 2.30 pm.
