The annual awards of the Akademi will be conferred in two categories: In the first category eight awards of Rs 25,000 each will be given to the ‘Best Konkani Book’ of poetry, short stories/novel, drama, essay/travelogue, research, criticism, children’s literature (Balsahitya) and translation.
