Autopsy report of MPT staff reserved

VASCO, MAY 21 The autopsy report on the Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) employee Deelip Kalangutkar, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances, has been kept reserved by police as his viscera have sent for medical examination.

The autopsy report on the Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) employee Deelip Kalangutkar, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances, has been kept reserved by police as his viscera have sent for medical examination.
While initial reports suggest that there is no injury marks on the body, police sent the viscera for further tests to ascertain the nature of death. The body was later handed over to relatives who performed the final rites in his native place at Verem-Betim.
“As of now, there is nothing to suspect a case of murder, as there were no injuries on the body. However, to ensure that it is not a case of homicide, police is investigating in all possible angles,” a police source told Herald.
Verna police had found the body along the highway opposite the Toyota Showroom at Cortalim in suspicious manner on Thursday at around 6.30 pm.
