BJP condemns Sudin for Cabinet remark

PONDA: The BJP Ponda Block on Monday strongly condemned the statement made by Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavalikar for advising Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant to cut down the number of Cabinet ministers during COVID-19 crisis. 

President Shantaram Colvekar along with office bearers Vishwanath Dalvi, Sandeep Khandeparkar and others while addressing media persons, here, said, “Sudin is trying to unstable the government through his statement. Nowhere in the country, such demand, has come forth.”

He said, “Ministerial post is not enjoyment but a medium to serve people. In 2012, the BJP government had 21 MLAs but still BJP gave two ministerial posts to MGP but we did not questioned him why he didn’t offer one ministerial post to then newly elected MGP MLA Lavoo Mamlatdar.” 

“Instead of advising government, it is crucial time for him to work shoulder to shoulder with the government in COVID-19 crisis,” he added. 

Sudin invited the wrath of BJP for advising Chief Minister to cut down number of cabinet ministers and also seize posts of chairmen and commissioners till COVID-19 crisis, which can save up to Rs 5 crore of public money.
