MAPUSA: A 3-years-old boy suffered minor head injury when a mango tree and coconut tree came crushing down on a house at Almedia Wado, Parra, early morning on Sunday. The tree fall was the result of heavy rains the previous night.

The Mapusa fire station received a call at 7.15 am about the incident and immediately a team of fire personnel rushed to the spot, chopped down the trees and rescued the boy trapped in the room. It is learnt that the family of the boy is residing on rent.
House owner Luis Montero claimed loss of property worth Rs 50,000.
