MARGAO: At a special meeting held recently the Deussua Chinchinim panchayat while condemning the Union government, outright rejected the move to declare their village as an urban area.
The panchayat members also condemned the revenue department officials for keeping this proposal a secret from them and not informing them about the proposal being on the anvil.

The panchayat members said they will follow the procedure and write to the authorities concerned besides raising the matter with local MLA who is the Fisheries Minister in the government.
