Colva police carried out a raid at a flat in Varca and arrested two persons for alleged possession of narcotic substances, recovering drugs worth over ₹2 lakh.
According to police, Akash Sajith was arrested for allegedly possessing 6.79 grams of MDMA valued at ₹1,35,800 and 2.43 grams of charas worth ₹24,300. In a separate action during the same raid, Pratik Basman was arrested for allegedly being in possession of 2.02 grams of MDMA valued at ₹40,400.

The total value of the seized contraband has been estimated at ₹2,00,500. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the drugs and whether the accused have links to a larger narcotics network, police said.
