Thousands of devotees congregated at Old Goa on November 22 to be part of the inaugural of the decennial Exposition of the Sacred Relics of St Francis Xavier.
The relics were taken in procession from the Bom Jesus Basilica to the nearby Se Cathedral, marking the beginning of the month long exposition. Throughout the exposition period, which also saw the novenas and feast of St Francis Xavier, lakhs of devotees, pilgrims and tourists venerated the relics. The exposition will end on Jan 4, 2015.
