Dy CM, Cabinet Ministers to attend farming prog in Israel

PANJIM: Goa Forward Party MLAs and State Ministers, led by Dy CM Vijai Sardesai would be introduced to most advanced high tech and comprehensive farming programme on potentially world access platform on Tuesday, May 21 in Israel.
The ministers, including Sardesai, Vinod Paliencar and Jayesh Salgaoncar, who are on a private visit to Israel, are being hosted by various high level agencies including Israel’s External Affairs Ministry to explore the possibility of tie-up between Goa and that country.
World renowned leading agronomist in Israel Bluben will be hosting this programme on May 21 which will showcase the most advanced high tech and comprehensive farming programme on potentially world access platform.
Bluben is a leading agronomist in Israel with a large and strong international experience in agriculture offering as grower a practical experience for the main extensive crops and vegetables, accompanied with a remarkable know how in farm management.
The programme has been created by the Agronomist Gad Elharrar and the Weizmann Institute Mathematician, Yoram Elisha. The programme will discuss offering of the support and expansion of existing programmes to the various farmers in Goa, India and elsewhere.
Based on an interactive web site, the proposed services include the capabilities of automatic precise agriculture and a close supervision of the plant growth and health. Moreover, it is permanently informing the farmer concerning the economic aspects and value of his plantation and the crops. Likewise, high tech sensors will be presented by Tevatronic Limited and Ami Tens limited.
Though the delegation of Goa ministers arrived on a private visit, a series of meetings were programmed and coordinated by Bluben with officials and decision makers at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mashav, Department of Israel International Cooperation, the Ministry of Agriculture Research Centre and the laboratories of the Faculty of Agriculture of the Hebrew University.
The professional field tour has been arranged with Mekorot, Israel management water authority, Kibbutz collective farming, High Tech Dairy farm in Kfar Vitkin and the Bio farming in Kibbutz Sdeh Elyahu.
Israel Government Representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Ms. Smadar Moysa, Amir Ginosar and Daniel Werner as well as Israel Foreign Affairs Department of Mashav represented by Daniel Zohar-Zonshine will participate in the concluding meeting at the office of Bluben in AYR Champion Tower, Israel.
