MARGAO: South Goa district will shortly have its “one stop centre” for women and children who are subjected to any type of violence and the centre that will initially be housed at the Junta Quarters at Pajifond. It will be managed by Bailancho Ekvott.
It may be recalled that having such a centre was decided upon by the union government following the horrifying Nirbhaya case and north Goa already has the centre set up Goa Medical which is managed by Emidio Pinho led Scan Goa.
The centre will be one place where all matters will be dealt with including counseling, legal advice and recording of statement.
