New Delhi: Airlines have begun cautiously resuming operations to parts of conflict-affected West Asia, with Air India, Air India Express and IndiGo restoring flights to Dubai, even as services to several other destinations in the region remain suspended.
According to an official statement, Air India and Air India Express are set to operate a total of 48 scheduled and non-scheduled flights to and from West Asia on Thursday, March 19. This includes 16 scheduled services and 32 additional non-scheduled flights, aimed at managing passenger demand and clearing travel backlogs.

Both carriers have also resumed connectivity to Dubai, one of the region’s busiest travel hubs, following updated operational clearances.
Meanwhile, IndiGo confirmed the partial resumption of its services, stating that flight operations to and from Dubai restarted from 1600 hrs (local time) on March 18. The move comes after clearance from the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority.
Airlines continue to operate in a calibrated manner, closely monitoring the evolving situation in West Asia. Passengers have been advised to check flight status regularly, as schedules to certain cities in the region remain subject to change depending on security and operational conditions.
