PONDA: In a fire incident forest trees were gutted in fire at Khandepar.
The incident took place on Tuesday night.

The locals informed the Ponda Fire Personnel who rushed with fire tender and doused the fire.
The locals said several trees felled were set on fire to destroy the proof about illegal tree felling.
They suspect that unknown persons set fire to the trees with the intention of developing plots. Some trees felled were also gutted in the fire.
Locals said forest department should inspect the site.
