PANJIM: The Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) on Sunday said that many former BJP MLAs, leaders and workers would join the party in the next 15 days.
“There are many leaders, former MLAs and karyakartas in the BJP, who are frustrated and will be joining GSM in the coming 15 days. Also, the RSS cadre, who supported BJP in the 2012 election, will now be supporting GSM in the upcoming Assembly elections,” said Anant Shirodkar, GSM president, at the Tiswadi block meeting.
Claiming that GSM would finalise the executive committees for 32 constituencies on October 25, Shirodkar said, “Our stronghold areas are likely to go up from current 17, due to the phenomenal response the party is witnessing.”
Meanwhile, stating that 30 volunteers from St Andre and 45 volunteers from Cumbarjua participated in the Tiswadi block meeting he further informed that GSM has around 4500 selfless volunteers, who are ready to work without money.
Mentioning that BJP has no support of minority in Salcete Shirodkar said that “the BJP has adopted Congress culture of drugs and narcotics.”
Informing that around 60,000 Matrubhasha Rakshaks have already worn Kankan band and have taken the pledge to protect Konkani-Marathi language he said, “we are very sure that in the coming one month BBSM will be looking to target around 2 lakh Matrubhasha Rakshaks.”
GSM President Anant Shirodkar has also made it clear that if Vishnu Wagh approaches GSM, he will be welcomed with open arms.
