The High Court has directed the counsel representing the Election Commission of India (ECI) to ensure the presence of the concerned ECI official at a hearing scheduled for 2.30 pm on Wednesday.
The direction came during the hearing of a petition filed by St Cruz resident Paresh Salgaonkar and five members of his family, challenging the non-inclusion of their names in the electoral roll following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

The petitioners have questioned the omission of their names from the electoral roll and approached the court seeking appropriate relief.
