PANJIM: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) on Tuesday announced the schedule for the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examination, which will begin with English paper for general stream from April 24; while for vocational the first paper is scheduled on April 26.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Board examinations of Class XII, which are otherwise held in February-March, are being held in April-May this year. The Goa Board has said that it will soon be issuing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for conduct of examination.

As per the final time-table announced, the examination will begin with English paper for general stream on April 24.
On April 28, the students of Arts and Commerce will answer Economics paper.
Chemistry for Science students and Business studies for Commerce stream is scheduled on May 3; while Sociology paper is scheduled on May 4.
The Commerce students will answer Banking paper on May 5. On May 7, students of Arts will answer History, its Physics for Science stream and Accountancy for Commerce students.
On May 8, Konkani paper is scheduled, while on May 10, students will answer Mathematics and Political Science as per their field.
Language II paper will be answered on May 11, Hindi on May 12 and Marathi on May 13. The Biology paper is scheduled on May 15.
The examination for general stream will conclude with Geography paper for students of Arts on May 17. On the other hand, for vocational stream, the exam will end on May 8. The GBSHSE has said that under no circumstances examinations will be postponed, even through, any day is declared as a public holiday.
For the general stream, the practical examination will commence from May 26 and the audit for regular students of vocational stream will be held from April 1.
