Human skeletal remains discovered in open field at Cansaulim

Police recovered human skeletal remains, including a skull with the jaw intact, from an open field at Cansaulim late Friday night. The remains were discovered during routine patrolling after police received information about a skull lying in the field near the Tontem area. Officers confirmed the presence of skeletal remains and inspected the surrounding area. Preliminary enquiries are underway to determine the identity of the deceased and the circumstances of death. The skull has been sent to South Goa District Hospital for medico-legal examination and forensic analysis, and Verna Police Station has registered a case of unnatural death.
