PANJIM: Vidhya Vihar High School, Cortalim and Konkani Bhasha Mandal’s Ravindra Kelekar Dnyanmandir, Margao, won TAG’s inter-school competition of dance on the recorded Konkani songs on patriotism, national integration and communal harmony.
In order to inculcate values of patriotism, national integration and communal harmony in children, every year Tiatr Academy of Goa has been organizing an inter-school competition of dance on the recorded Konkani songs on patriotism, national integration and communal harmony.
This year the competition was held last month at the Institute Menezes Braganza Auditorium, Panjim. The following are the winners:
Std I-IV category: 1st Prize: Vidhya Vihar High School, Thana, Cortalim Goa (cash prize – Rs 5000 plus memento and certificate).
2nd Prize: Holy Rosary Convent High School, Nuvem, (cash prize – Rs 3500 plus memento and certificate).
3rd Prize: Konkani Bhasha Mandal’s Vidhyabhuvan Konkani Shalla, Margao (cash prize – Rs 2000 plus memento and certificate).
Best choreographer: Mamta M Bijlani, Mount Litera Zee School, Zuarinagar (Cash Prize – Rs 2000 plus memento and certificate).
Std V-X category: 1st Prize: Konkani Bhasha Mandal’s Ravindra Kelekar Dnyanmandir, Margao (cash prize Rs 7000 plus memento and certificate).
2nd Prize: Bhatikar Model High School, Margao Goa (cash prize – Rs 5000 plus memento and certificate).
3rd Prize: Vidhya Vihar High School, Thana, Cortalim Goa (cash prize – Rs 3000 plus memento and certificate).
Best choreographer: Naresh Kankonkar, Jesus and Mary Sarvajanik High School, Carambolim (cash prize – Rs 2000 plus memento and certificate).
