PANJIM: Konkan Railway celebrated eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi at Konkan Rail Vihar, Seawoods Nerul, Navi Mumbai — the residential quarters for its officers and staff.  A model of the famous Ganpatipule Temple, Ratnagiri has been created in-house by the KR employees.
The model has been made out of cloth, cardboard and paper.  Keeping the trend going , this year the employees of Konkan Railway made an eco-friendly Ganesh made up of  paper mache and bio-degradable Shadu clay i.e. natural clay with organic colours, hand sculpted by traditional artists.
