MARGAO: The Margao Carnival Committee has declared the results of the carnival float parade held recently.
In the traditional Category, the first three prizes went to Uxichem Ghod, Quepem; Goenchi Bhajiyo, Curtorim and Musical Flavours of Goa, Fatorda respectively.
Fourth and 5th places went to Dhobi (Vijay Menezes) and Waste Management, Sarvodaya Educational, Curchorem.
Save Wild Life, SFX Club, Save Girl Child, CAC Boys, Margao and The Real Pirates of Borda, Margao bagged the first three places in the Club/Institution Category.
Minions, Black Mambas secured the 4th place while Quard Coptar Antiqur Car, Boys of Sangada stood 5th.
In the Family Category, Blazia Rebello, Caranzalem; Socorina Rodrigues, Borim
and D’Souza Family, Colvale bagged the first three places.
Save Trees & Animals, Velho Group and Caterpillar, Fun Boys, Benaulim stood 4th and 5th.
The first three places in the Fun Junky Car Category went to Jolly Boys of Mapusa; Protect Beautiful Goa, Quepem and Vasudev Phadte, Aquem respectively. Brazilian Samba, Joaquim Pereira and Save Goa & Its resources, Frankey Pinto secured fourth and fifth places respectively.
In the Clown/Joker Category, Statute of Farmer, Quepem; Vijay Shirodkar Desai, Curchorem and Dylan Rodrigues, Margao won the first three places.
Shetkari Clown, Kanishk Nilesh Naik and Loving Lotus, Dumingos Fernandes secured 4th and 5th places respectively.
FC Goa and Hero Motor Corp bagged the first two places in the Sponsored Category.
