The Fatorda Block Congress Committee has asked the Margao Civic body to ensure that the recently inaugurated dog shelter makes good use of the facility and to keep the stray dogs at bay.
Block President Joseph Silva said the increasing number of stray dogs in the city is posing danger to the public. He cited the incident wherein a young boy was bitten by a stray dog at Borda.
Silva wondered whether the Animal Birth Control program and use of the dog shelter inaugurated by the Chief Minister Digambar Kamat in the city is properly implemented.
