VASCO: The High Court of at Goa recently granted anticipatory bail to one Atul Bicholkar who was booked by Vasco police under Section 8 of Goa Children’s Act and Section 509 of IPC in October last year.
The minor victim girl’s mother filed a complaint that an unknown person followed her minor daughter when she was returning from school, and had made obscene gestures and had also stripped his trouser before her. The next morning, five personnel of Naval Police including the victim’s father visited the scene of incident along with the victim girl and she identified the alleged accused (Atul Bicholkar). He was allegedly assaulted by naval personnel.
Since Bicholkar was undergoing treatment for his injuries, police were waiting for him to recover from his injuries and then to arrest him.
