MARGAO: In view of Fr Bismarque’s mysterious death, Musical Warriors convenor Sudeep Dalvi has demanded police protection for the group members and their families.
“In my capacity as convenor of this group of earth-loving musicians and singers of Goa, I demand police protection for every troupe member of mine and their families, lest they too are found floating in the backwaters of the Mandovi River for raising their voice for nature and the environment in Goa,” said Sudeep.
He continued, “Fr Bismarque was the oldest member of Musical Warriors; he was one of three, other than myself and Zico, to attend all seven protests. Had he not been killed, he would have led Sunday’s protest in Tuem as well. All of us know what sort of fate he met for loving Mother Earth.”
Now, more than Fr Bismarque, my concern is for the group members who are alive and determined to carry on the battle against the land mafia in Goa.”
Sudeep added that the battle, which began at the footsteps of Panjim Church, would be fought in every village of Goa.
